Mikhail Starchenko, Russia

Mikhail Starchenko, Russia

Mikhail was born in Ulianovs Russia and is one of the world’s great hyper realist watercolour artists.

He trained at Zagorsk Industrial Art & Design College.

In 1989 he was the winner of MTV’s poster contest “My Generation” to support the Moscow Music Peace Festival.

After a career in Advertising and Industrial design he returned to watercolour and for the last 25 years has specialised in hyper realistic watercolours. He uses only brushes and transparent watercolours on paper to make his paintings.

He is now a much collected International exhibitor and has won many major Awards. IWM2022 will be Mikhail Starchenko’s first appearance at IWM and his UK debut. He is sure to delight his audience in the main arena, tickets on sale now.
