IWM2024 Proudly presents Michal Jasiewicz the Polish Master.
Elements of architecture frequently appear in his works, though they are never represented directly; they are usually part of a broader cultural landscape. The coexistence of the natural landscape and human artifacts makes a remarkable material which enables the artist to create a half-realistic, half-poetic vision of the world, a vision as elusive as the changing light or seasons of the year. The resulting works are quite often inspired by a flash of light on a facade, shimmering surface of the water, billowing sky rather than by a particular object.
World famous for his skilful use of watercolour in landscape, townscape, and industrial subjects, Michal is an experienced tutor and instructor. This workshop is for students who desire a different more poetic approach to their painting. Michal will give a complete briefing on the techniques he uses, from colour mixing and application, choosing your subjects, and much more. Full demonstrations will be given and this 2 day course will be in a step by step format with lots of individual tuition. Limited class size. Michal’s workshops are joyful and informative, relaxed and intuitive.
All abilities welcome. Early booking recommended.
