Jorge Corpuna (Peru)

The purest inheritance of the oriental painting that nourished the origins of Peruvian watercolour finds its fullest expression in the work of Jorge Corpuna. The formal and chromatic harmony with which this magnificent artist portrays nature shows the deep respect that his lineage holds for the grandeur of the Andes. Jorge has the ability to represent the sacred energy of his fertile land in a synthesis of vibrant atmospheres. In his panoramas we are spectators of creation and each of his vital colours reveals a universal and at the same time very intimate cosmos.

Corpuna’s career enjoys great international recognition, having won numerous important awards around the world.

IWM2026 is Jorge Corpuna’s first appearance in the UK and we are delighted to exhibit his paintings at the International Watercolour Masters. Jorge will give a live demo in the IWM Arena on the 18th May and host a one day workshop on the 21st May.
