Paul Van Cleven Demonstration

Paul Van Cleven is a self-taught watercolourist based in Bruges, Belgium. He was raised in a creative household, his father an architect and his mother an artist. He was introduced to the world of art from a young age, receiving early guidance that laid the foundation for his artistic journey. After a demanding business career, Paul returned to his artistic roots at the age of forty, embracing watercolour as his primary medium. Since then, he has exhibited his work widely across Europe and beyond, earning nominations and awards that reflect the growing recognition of his talent. Paul’s work is driven by a deep desire to express emotion and experience through paint. For him, art is a way to tell stories, to build connections, and to share a personal yet universal perspective on the world. He is committed not only to refining his technique, but to creating pieces that resonate with others works that move, inspire, and linger. Continually exploring new styles and expanding his creative voice, Paul strives to push artistic boundaries. His ultimate hope is that his work leaves a lasting impression and contributes to a richer cultural and emotional understanding.
